Description :

BPL Ration cards are an official document issued by state governments in India to Priority House Holds (PHH) that are eligible to purchase subsidized food grain from the Public Distribution System. It is one of the recognized address and identity proofs by both the state and the central government agencies.

Priority ration cards are issued to households that meet the eligibility criteria set by their state government. Each priority household is entitled to 25-35 kilograms of food grain per member per month. BPL card is most important document in availing most of the free government services.

Eligibility:
1. The annual income should be less than 1.2 lacs
2. The applicant should not own vehicles other than one for the business purpose like maxi cab, auto, tractor.
3. The applicant should not be a government employee
4. The applicant should not be a tax payer
5. Rural applicant should not own more than 3 hectares of land and Urban applicant should not own more than 1000sq ft of house.

Documents Required:
1. Aadhaar Card of all family members
2. Aadhar registered mobile number of all family members.
3. Details of the PDS store from where you want to purchase the food grains.
4. Ward number of the residence.
5. Income/Caste certificates.
